Joe Edward Gates, Sr., 70, of McRae, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Tuesday May 29, 2018. He was a retired mechanic and loved working on cars.
He is survived by his wife, Katharin Gates of McRae; one son, Joe Edward Gates (Teresa) of McRae; two daughters, Kathy Jo Skinner (Earnest) of McRae, and Mary Ellen Gates of Heber Springs; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Weir Cemetery. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe
