BENTONVILLE — James Lewell Norton, 83, of Bentonville, Ark., passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019. He was born July 19, 1935, in Deer, Ark., to Norval and Ethel Jane Smith Norton.
He proudly served in the Army. James was a member of God's Lighthouse in Bentonville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Cleta Norton, son Jeff and brother Jack.
James is survived by son Troy Norton and wife Rachel of Centerton, Ark.; daughter-in-law Brenda; six grandchildren, Sean Norton, Tiffany Norton, Emma Nation (Dylan), Katie Norton, Jocee Norton, Gracee Norton; four great-grandchildren, Jolee Bryan, Mateo Salinas, Jaxton Norton, Jeffrey Norton and brothers Harold Norton and wife Glenda, and Rev. Leroy Norton and wife Nada.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at God's Lighthouse Church in Bentonville with Pastor Leroy Norton officiating. Burial will follow at Coffelt Cemetery with military honors provided. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. Words of comfort may be shared at stockdale-moodyfs.com.
