OBIT

Rev. Leroy Morgan, 90, of Jacksonville, Arkansas was promoted to heaven Tuesday, September 30, 2014, in Jacksonville. Rev. Morgan was born February 18, 1924, in Deering, Missouri to Luther Dee and Lizzie Adell (Hayes) Morgan.

He served for many years as the Chaplain for the Jacksonville Police Department, was a substitute teacher in the Pulaski County Special School District, and served as the founding Pastor of Calvary Temple Church of Jacksonville for 23 years. Rev. Morgan was currently the pastor of Cathedral of Praise Church in Cabot, Arkansas.

Funeral service will be Friday, October 3, 2 pm, at McArthur Assembly of God in Jacksonville, with Rev. Scott Brandon and Rev. Brennan Ayers officiating.

Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Jacksonville under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Homes and Flower Shop of Charleston, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Morgan of Jacksonville, Arkansas; three daughters, Guenda Vincent of Tallassee, Alabama, Joan Ring of Pocahontas, Arkansas, and Donna Miller of Cabot, Arkansas; one stepson, Brandon Snider of Jacksonville, Arkansas; two sisters, Elva Barner and Sue Botkins, both of Paragould, Arkansas; nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 2, 6-8 pm at McArthur Assembly of God in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
