Linnie S. Buie, 87, of Malvern, AR went to be with the Lord on November 11, 2013. Linnie was born April 25, 1926 in Malvern, AR to Ephriam and Tabitha (Ross) Swayze. Linnie was an avid gardener and loved to grow flowers. She loved to quilt, cook, and go to estate sales. Linnie loved spending time with family and friends. She also loved her church family at Emmanuel Baptist Church and she loved the Lord. Linnie is predeceased by her parents; her husband of 67 years, Daniel Buie; one son who was a Marine Vietnam Veteran, Daniel Franklin Buie; four sisters; and four brothers. Linnie is survived by three daughters: Ann (James) Duren of Malvern, Linda (James) Wesolowski of Malvern, and Judy (Jan) Johnson of Bedford, IN; two brothers: Marion "Sonny" (Elosie) Swayze of Benton, and Max (Arnetha) Swayze of Malvern; two sisters: Janet Covington of Nashville, TN, and Jean (Larry) Tipton of Malvern; seven grandchildren: Rick, Scott, David, Tabbitha, Brandy, Angie, and Amanda; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Atkinson Chapel with Bro. Eli Maynard officiating. Burial will be at Shadowlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Duren, Scott Dodds, David Buie, Wesley Duren, Tyler Briggs, & Bryce Briggs. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Bollen, Arkansas Hospice, & the 2nd floor staff at HSCMC. Arrangements entrusted to Atkinson Funeral Home of Malvern, AR.
