When William Arlie Campbell was born on September 28, 1914, in Arkansas, his father, Grover, was 26 and his mother, Parmelia, was 22. He married Lois Reid on June 22, 1935, in Conway, Arkansas. They had one child during their marriage. He died on August 19, 1995, in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 80, and was buried there.
