David Elbert Mason, 77, died on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. He was born on October 12, 1943 in Clarksville, Arkansas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Price and Laura Mason, two sons, Brent and Kent Mason, mother and father-in-law, Willie and Susie Hutchins, and two brothers, Jimmy and J.P. Mason, and sister-in-law Peggy Mason.

Survivors include his loving wife, Gloria Hutchins Mason, one daughter and husband, Paula and Travis Rutledge of Clarksville, one brother and wife, Earl and Nina Mason of Clarksville, two sisters, Anna Sue England of Pine Bluff and Mary Jane and Elwynn Allen of Nevada. Three grandchildren; Sasha and Seth Johnson of Clarksville, Zac and Laura York of Lamar, and Jordan Rutledge of Clarksville. Three great-grandchildren, Ella Mae and Agnes Kay Johnson of Clarksville, and Jasper David York of Lamar.

He was a deacon, member, and Sunday school superintendent of the Clarksville First Freewill Baptist Church for 33 years. He worked at the Brick Plant, Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, Greenville Tube, and then retired from chicken farming. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Services are 2 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2021 at Clarksville First Freewill Baptist Church in Clarksville, Arkansas with Brother Robert Williams and Brother Joey Hanna officiating. Burial will follow at Minnow Creek Cemetery in Lamar, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Koy Williams, Josh Hanna, Jeffrey Burris, Jordan Burris, Jeremiah Downum, and Ian Clark. Honorary Pallbearers are members of Clarksville First Freewill Baptist Church.
