Roy V. Laws, 87, of St. Louis, MO died on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Bethesda Meadow home. He was born on November 19, 1928 in Keyesport, IL to Adolphus and Verna Laws. He graduated from East St. Louis, IL highschool in 1946. He served in the United States Army from 1947 through 1953 during the Korean War in Panama and Newfoundland. He married Marcella Schon on September 5, 1953 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Belleville, IL. He was employed most of his career in the insurance business, and retired to Mountain Home, Arkansas.

He is survived by a daughter, Diane Goertz and son-in-law, Gene Goertz, son, Steven Laws, daughter-in-law, Rose Laws, and son, Michael Laws, all of St. Louis, three grandchildren, Brian Goertz, Nicole Laws, and Rebecca Schneider, step-grandchild, Robert (Bobby) Hutchens, and six great grandchildren, Brianna Laws, Brady Meyers, Kaya Goertz, Caleb Schneider, Karsten Goertz, and Zoey Goertz. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Marcella, his parents, brother and four sisters.

Mass will be at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wentzville, MO, Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 10:30am. Entombment of devotion will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens in Mountain Home, Arkansas on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 11:30am. Services by St. Louis Cremation and Roller Funeral Home.
