DECATUR - Charles Henry Lee Buffer,
80,of Decatur died March 5, 2002, at
his home.He was born Feb. 28, 1922,
in Gentry to Luther Leeroy Buffer and
Verna Frances Elnore Burns Buffer. He was
a lifetime resident of the Decatur/
Gravette area. His hobbies were
motorcycles and working with
horses.
Survivors include his wife,
Viola May Thompson Buffer of the home,
to whom he was married in 1948;
three daughters, Mary Buffer of
Gentry, Frances Smith of Decatur
and Kathy Buffer of Colcord, Okla,;
two brothers, Delbert Buffer and
Raymond Reece Buffer, both of Gravette;
11 grandchildren; nine great-
grandchildren.
Memorial services will be
announced. Cremation arrangements
are by Callison-Lough Funeral
Service in Gravette.

Buffer and a son Charles Lee Buffer

Charles Henry and his wife Viola
wanted to be cremated so they could
be buried between their 2 children
that died young.
