James David Mitchell was born to the late Office Mike and Cordelia Mitchell on December 13, 1932. He came into the knowledge of Christ under the late Pastor Charles Ellis, Sr.
He departed this life on November 29, 2020, at Ouachita Convalescent and Rehab Center in Camden, Arkansas.
Through his travel in life he served in the United States Army where he served his term. After his discharge, he met the love of his life where they were united as one with a bond that only death could break, Joyce A Mitchell was the love of his life. She was the sugar in his coffee. He was known as the Barbecue King Pin. He was the owner of Brown Hill Café. He worked several deer camps and he was known near and far for the jokes he would tell. He brought joy to everyone he met. He worked several jobs in Camden area throughout his life. He was preceded in death by two Brothers O. M. Mitchell and Willie Simpson, one sister Geraldine Simpson.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Joyce A, Mitchell, one sister, Joanne Clayton Smith (Guy) of Little Rock Arkansas. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and a special god brother, James Nelson Utsey of Camden Arkansas. He also served as a faithful member of the Brothers of Truth Masonic Lodge in Bearden Arkansas under Grand Master Rodney Clark 33 degree Mason.
