GRAVETTE — John M. Queen Jr., 65, of Gravette died Aug. 18, 1995, at his home. He was born July 26, 1930, at Mountain View, Okla., to John Marcus and Leona Dora Prentice Queen. He was an installation supervisor at Wal-Mart for 13 years and a machinist at Westinghouse for 15 years in Sunnyvale, Calif. He owned Homeowners Supply Co. in Palo Alto, Calif., and was a lead man at Sundowner Homes in Noel, Mo., for 10 years. He was in U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from 1949 to 1953. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Gravette after moving to the area in 1970 from Santa Clara, Calif.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby G. Queen of Gravette; two sons John M. Queen III and Michael D. Queen, both of Gravette; one daughter, Jacquelyn C. Queen of Gravette; his mother of Klamath Falls, Ore.; one brother, James E. Queen of Clearlake, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Alice Smart of Klamath Falls and Judith V. Hodge of Gravette; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God Church in Gravette with the Rev. Steve Buckley and the Rev. Rick McElhannon officiating. Burial will be in Daniel Cemetery under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Gravette.
