Mr. Andy Hugh Woodruff, 70, of Tuckerman died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at his home. He was born December 9, 1942 in Newark, the son of Theodore Vestal and Irene S. (Pectol) Woodruff.
Mr. Woodruff was a United States Army retiree, serving two years in Vietnam. He enjoyed watching westerns, Perry Mason and Matlock, playing cards, and was Cardinal’s fan. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Woodruff was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Sue (Polston) Woodruff; one son, Bobby Wayne Woodruff of Newport; two daughters, Katherine Lynn Holleman and Kimberly Annette Kerr, both of Tuckerman; two brothers, Jimmy Dale Woodruff of Tuckerman and Sammy Woodruff of Winchester, Virginia; three sisters, Mandy Lou Thompson of Jonesboro, Debra Joan Lowery of Missouri, and Judy Lenora Williamson of Cordova, Tennessee; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Calvary Cemetery at Gourdneck. Friends may visit at the funeral home, Friday, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
