Former Montgomery County native Lonnie Breshears, 74, of Hot Springs, AR, died March 12, 1999, at his home. Born July 18, 1924, in Fannie to James Monroe and Myrtle Lucinda Breshears, he was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include; his wife Hazel Breshears of Hot Springs; a daughter, Anita Smith of Malvern; two brothers Dayton of Royal and Jack Adamson of Little Rock; three sisters, Delcie Standerfer of Royal, Lura Hopper of Hot Springs and Ruth Mendes of Visalia, CA; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services were March 15, 1999, at 1.00p.m. at Caruth-Hale Funeral chapel with Elders Bruce Gilmore and Johnny Deary officiating. Pallbearers were Larry Breshears, Henry Marlin, Bill Clements, Coy Nash, Corbet Deary and Benji Bennett. Burial was in Reed Cemetery in Story.
