Tony Edward Free

Anthony Edward Free, 71, of Bradford, passed from this life November 5, 2019. He was born April 22, 1948 in Bradford to the late Cleo and Pauline Sanford Free. Tony was a fighter. He fought Polio from the age of 2 and faced many challenges but he never allowed any of this to keep him from living a full life. He was a loving father and grandfather and was known to his grandkids as “Pops”. When they visited “Pops” they always knew to expect a big smile, a warm hug, and for him to slip them a few dollars as he did each time they visited. Tony was an avid antique car and Case tractor lover. He enjoyed the outdoors whether he was hunting, fishing, or tinkering with something that had a motor or wheels. He worshipped God at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. To say he will be missed would be an understatement.
He is survived by his only child, Scotty Free (Dana) of Bradford; grandchildren, Scarlett Free and Darren Free, both of Bradford; Siblings, Howard Free of Michigan, Bonnie Teer (Louis) of Conway, Robbie Free (Janice) of Bradford, and Don Free (Kim) of Bradford; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and a special aunt and uncle, Dorothy and Leon Bennett.
