Dbl stone w/Shirley Patterson
Charles Edgar Patterson, 74, of Newport departed this life Sunday, February 9, 2020 at his home. He was born January 3, 1946 to John Paul and Beaulah (Campbell) Patterson. Mr. Patterson was a member of Oakland Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, loving his grandchildren, hummingbirds, and fish frys.
He was preceded in death by one son; Charles Edgar Patterson, Jr., his parents, one great granddaughter; Vanessa Cheshier, one great grandson, Jimmie Roberts, and two sisters; Pat Popejoy and Lucille Wren.
His survivors are his wife of 34 years; Shirley Patterson of the home, sons; Robert Cheshier (Lanie) of Cave City, and Aaron Cheshier of Newport, daughters; Siona Burgess (Chuck) of Newport, Tammy Cheshier (David) of Weiner, Jada Greaves (Nol) of Searcy, and Crystal Magness (Marcus) of Newport, brothers; Paul John Patterson of Magness, Joe William Hall of Newport, Eddie Patterson of Germany, and Johnny Patterson of Germany, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter; Bexlee Dawn Patterson.
