April 17, 1944 - April 21, 2009
L.E. Dodson, Sr., 65 of McNeil, Arkansas died Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the Magnolia City Hospital in Magnolia, Arkansas.
He was born April 17, 1944 in Dinuba, California to the late Edsiel Dodson and Christine Melba (Rogers) Hatcher. L.E. was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waldo and was a Mason.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Dustin Moody.
Survivors are his wife, Martha Dodson of McNeil, Arkansas; sons, Chris and Traci Smith of Madison, Mississippi, Gene and Carmen Dodson of Minot, North Dakota, Jonathan and Judy Smith of Magnolia, Arkansas; daughters, Paula and Mark Brown of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Sherry Lynch of Minden, Louisiana; grandchildren, Kristen Moody, Hollye Teague, Lacey Ludlham, Alexandria Smith, Taylor Smith, Trevor Smith, and Trent Smith.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Waldo with Bro. Richard Walters officiating and assisted by Bro. Ed Phillips under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sherwood Phillips, Jo Willett, David Bolt, Bill Askew, Rodney Carey, and Howard Copeland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Southern Christian Missions, 515 West Monroe, Magnolia, AR 71753.
