Kenneth Joe Young was born on September 11, 1946 in Clarksville, Arkansas to the late Leo Little & Pearlie Mae (Hughes) Young. He passed away on September 4, 2007, at his home, at the age of 60. He was a Vietnam Veteran, Owner & Operator of Ken's Automotive in Clarksville for 30 years, along with his son Danny, a lifetime member of the VFW, an avid sportsman who loved hunting & fishing, a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, & friend. He was a good honest man who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by one son, Danny W. Young of Lamar, Arkansas; one daughter, Jacinda A. Reis of Corona, California; two brothers, Roy E. Young of Russellville, Arkansas & Wayne Young of Lamar, Arkansas; one sister, Nora May Phillips of Clarksville, Arkansas; half sister, Grace Warren of Colorado; grandchildren, James, Brett, Courtnee, Devan, Trevor, Ely; & his little dog, Duke.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Leo Little & Pearlie Mae (Hughes) Young; two brothers, Paul Young & Andy Young; half brothers, William Young & Bob Young; & a half sister, Martha Bly.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 P.M. Friday, September 7, 2007. Funeral will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 8, 2007 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Chapel in Clarksville with Michael Tilley & Reverend Amos Pledger officiating. Burial will follow in the Fort Douglas Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville (479) 754-2201.
Casket Bearers will be Greg Phillips, Kenny Phillips, Brett Young, Devan Young, Diess Helms, & Roy Young.
Honorary Casket Bearers will be James Reis, Ely Young, Courtnee Reis, George Galla, & Trevor Reis.
