Resided in Glenwood, AR

Sidney W. "Sid" Baldwin, age 79, of Glenwood, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014. He left his earthly home surrounded by his family and beloved pets. With love and prayers, he transitioned to his eternal home and rejoined those who made the journey before him.
He was born on April 4, 1935 in Higginson, Arkansas, the son of Mack Hatchet Baldwin and Myrtle Hanna Baldwin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Mack A. Baldwin; and his sister, Betty Brock.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marrietta Bardwell Baldwin; his son and daughter-in-law, Victor Mack and Judy Baldwin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Joey Miller and Robin and Carl Barrett, all of Glenwood; five grandchildren and their spouses, Alishia Baldwin-Mattingly, Andrew and Ashley Miller, Jacob and Kara Barrett, Johnathon Baldwin and Jessica and Michael Roberts; six great-grandchildren, Korey Mattingly, Emily Mattingly, Emmery Barrett, Raylea Barrett, Addison Barrett and Ashton Baldwin; two brothers and their spouses, Jim and Pat Baldwin of El Dorado and Bill and Alene Baldwin of Benton; and his sister and her spouse, Delois and Walter Shelton of North Little Rock.
Sid enjoyed living life in the present and was passionate about helping others. He was the bass singer of the Caddo Quartet and helped host "Gospel with the Caddos" for 18 years on KWXI. He was gifted as a carpenter, a chicken farmer and served as a soundman for various functions. He was a perfectionist, a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
He felt led to build the Christ Chapel on which he worked passionately to complete, handcrafting intricate details from the pews to picture windows. Unfortunately, his health left him unable to complete the project and the chapel remains unfinished.
Sidney Warren Baldwin will be sadly missed but fondly remembered for his kindness, easy smile, unique style and sense of humor.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 9, 2014, in the Bethel Cemetery with Rev. Glen Harris officiating.
