Dallas Carl Keller, age 79, a resident of Foreman, Arkansas, died Monday June 11, 2007 of a Pulmonary Embolism at his home. He was born September 2, 1927 in Little River County, in the Red River bottoms, to Lawrence and Birdie Carol Johnson Keller. He was a Merchant Marine for 34 years, retiring at the rank of Captain. He was a long distance truck driver, Little River County Sheriff from 1985 to 1990, and was a member of the Foreman First United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Carol Keller Wallace; and two sisters, Doris Cross and Ruth Altenbaumer.

He is survived by his wife, Ada Ruth Mesamore Keller; daughters Lori Mitchell of Texarkana, AR, and Chris Torres of Texas City, TX; a son, Donnie LaVoice of Foreman; two sisters, Beulah Keller Wilkerson Edington of Rockwall, TX and Eunice and Lloyd Smith of Foreman; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Keller will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday June 14, 2007 in the Dollarhide Cemetery in Foreman with Rev. Gary Harris and Rev. James Shaddox officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home DeQueen.

Visitation will be at the Keller home in Foreman on Wednesday June 13, 2007 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
