Sterling G. Ivy, Jr., 60, of Pine Bluff, died Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 19, 1950 in Staten Island, New York, son of Sterling G. Ivy, Sr. and Lucille Wilcken Ivy.
Mr. Ivy was reared and received his early education in Hampton, Arkansas and Staten Island, where he graduated from Port Richey High School.
He worked primarily for Viking Bag and for the Arkansas Department of Corrections for many years.
Survivors include his daughter, Erica Ivy of Little Rock; father and step-mother, Sterling and Martha Ivy of Hot Springs; mother, Lucille Ivy of El Dorado; brother, John (Cindy) Ivy of Bossier City, Louisiana; sister, Jane (Jerry) Davis of El Dorado; two nieces, Tammy Spradlin and Jeri Lyn Lee; and two nephews, Joey Ivy, MD and Scott Davis.
Funeral services were held in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son. Burial was in Earnest Cemetery near Hampton.
