Hazel Smith, 80, of Monticello, departed this life Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. She was born January 28, 1931 in Selma.
She was an assistant baker for Barnes Brothers Bakery and a Baptist. She was the daughter of the late Boozie Smith and Gracie Eggleston Smith and was preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie Virgil Smith and Curtis Smith and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include one son, Ivory Glover of St. Paul, MN; two daughters, Mary Delores Baker of Monticello and Carol Muhammad of Chicago, IL; eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; five brothers, seven sisters and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
