Ralph Thomas Grigg

Ralph Thomas Grigg, age 93 , a resident of Whiteville, passed from this life into the waiting arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, October 18, 2011 at the Hospice of the Ozarks. Mr. Grigg was born at Smithboro, IL, August 20, 1918, to Edward Frances Grigg and Martha Grace Michaels Grigg. Mr. Grigg was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, Dwayne Carroll, one brother Laurel Grigg, and two sisters, Cora Grigg Redding and Lorene Grigg Blevins.

He is survived by two sisters, Edith Hazelwood of Girard, IL and Vanita Beck of Rossville, GA. Jeanetta Richardson Grigg of Gassville, his beloved wife of 65 years, Three blessed children: Estel Grigg and wife Marcia of Gassville, AR, Duane Grigg and wife Debbie of Gainesville, MO, and Elaine Grigg Bozarth and husband Leon of Fayetteville, AR. Grandchildren: Dr. Derek Grigg and wife Teresa, Dr. Kari Grigg Priborsky and husband Mike, and Janel Grigg Gregg and husband Curtis, Cole Grigg and wife Danielle, Cynthia Grigg Boyte and husband Mitch, and Dr. Amy Bozarth Jenkins and husband Josh..Great Grandchildren: Jordan, Shiloh and Faith Grigg, Ashley and Paige Priborsky, Stephen, Phoebe, Matthew and Zoe Gregg and Hayley Grigg. Pallbearers are Jordan Grigg, Cole Grigg, Leon Bozarth, John Lonon, Joe Edmonds and Ray Matthews. Honorary Pallbearers are Jackie Edmonds, Ronnie Thomas, Robert Simmons, Dale Crownover, Mike Priborsky, Roger Haley and Danny Keeter.

Services will be held 10 AM Friday, October 21, 2011 at Whiteville Baptist Church with Dr. Derek Grigg and Brother Mark Vance officiating. Interment with military honors by Ozark VFW Post 3246 will follow in the Whiteville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 until 9 PM Thursday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6 until 8 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Whiteville Baptist Church or Hospice of the Ozarks.
