John Paul Harrington, 62, of North Little Rock, passed away Tuesday (Nov. 11, 2003) at Arkansas Hospice in North Little Rock.

He was born Feb. 4, 1941, in Greenbrier, to Ferrell Hendrix Harrington and Anna Mae Scritchfield Harrington. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was a train engineer with Missouri Pacific Railroad, where he was recognized for being injury-free for over 30 years. John served his country in the United States Army where he was in the 82nd Airborne Division.



Survivors include his mother, Anna Mae Harrington of Greenbrier; a sister, Ruth Lawrence and husband, Jimmy, of Greenbrier; nephew, Todd Lawrence and children, Jimi, Dylan, and Ashes Lawrence of Greenbrier; nephew, Joey Lawrence and wife, Stephanie, and son, Logan Jay of Greenbrier; niece, Dawn Mauldin and son, Dak, of Greenbrier; special friends, Carolyn Davison of North Little Rock, and Cindy and Jim Gowan of Newport, and Kelly, Scott and Candy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ferrell Hendrix Harrington; and his wife, Diane Harrington.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, in the chapel at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Greenbrier, with Bro. Johnny Harrington, Bro. R.D. Harrington and Bro. Prentice Harrington officiating. Burial will follow in Faith Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Scott Drennan, Jim Everett, Jim Gowan, Dave Harrington, David Mahan and Ronnie Mobbs.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 2200 Fort Roots Drive, North Little Rock, Ark., 72114.
