Paul Williams, 45, 2300 Houston St., died Friday morning in a local hospital following a brief illness. Born Nov. 13, 1925, in Union County, he was the son of Malcolm and Ella Ainsworth Williams. He was an employe of Hilyard Drilling Co. and a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Tommie Ainsworth Williams; a son, James Paul Williams, Little Rock; three step-sons, Gary W. Davis, Phillip R. Havard and Dennis W. Havard, all of El Dorado; a daughter, Miss Tammy Williams, El Dorado; his father Malcolm Williams, Mt. Holly; three brothers, Curtis Williams, Magnolia, Lloyd Williams, Dallas, Tex., and Marvin Williams, Gladewater, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Gurtha Harris, El Dorado; and two grandchildren. Funeral services at Bethel Methodist Church near Mt. Holly with the Rev. C. C. Crace and the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. Pallbearers will be E. T. May, Tommy Hilyard, Gary Wayne Davis, Roy M. Williams, Joe Nesbit, Con Williams, Wilton Crider and Donald Tye. (El Dorado Times - January 8, 1971)
