James Roller, 83, Seligman route 1, died at 5 a.m. Sunday at South Barry County Hospital, Cassville, following a lengthy illness.

He was born on April 1, 1892, in Benton County, Arkansas, and lived most of his life in the Seligman area. He was a veteran of U.S. Army service in World War I and was a member of the Seligman Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Roller; three sons, Marion F. Roller, Tulsa, Okla., Floyd T. Roller, Garfield, Ark., and J.C. Roller, Seligman; a daughter Mrs. Erma G. Collins, Seligman; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Seligman Baptist Church, with Kenneth Smith, minister, officiating. Burial was in the Roller Cemetery, Gateway, Ark., under direction of Culver Chapel, Cassville.
