ROBINETT, John - (from Clantonville} John Robinett was born July 23, 1851, died April 22, 1925. In 1876 he was married to Ellen Forgey. Lived on his farm three-quarters of a mile north of Clantonville most of his life. To this union were born two children, Effie and Maggie, the latter, Mrs. Maggie Roller, having departed this life two years ago. Effie still lives, working in Kansas City for some time. His first wife having died in 1878 he was married to Diana Williams in 1879. And to them were born six boys and two girls. Two boys, one an infant, and David, 21 years old, preceding their father to the Great Beyond. Michael and Della live in Kansas City and the remainder, Winter, Oscar, Charlie and Etta live near the old home place, all are married except Winter. Uncle John, as all know him, left a large circle of friends to mourn his departure. He was of a jolly disposition, had nothing displeasing to say of anyone and his many friends and relatives will miss him. He had a complication of diseases, some of them being Bright's Disease, lung trouble and flu. The funeral was preached by Rev. Monta Taylor at the home and his body was laid to rest in the Roller cemetery. Much sympathy was extended to him and family during his sickness and a large crowd of sympathizers gathered at the home and accompanied the body to its resting place.
