Melma Lorraine Pruitt, 90, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, was born February 2, 1922, at Antioch, Arkansas to Jim and Leona (Bobbitt) Mash, and she died December 17, 2012. She was a retired business manager for Cliff Peck Chevrolet and also traveled to many dealerships throughout the region serving as troubleshooter for any type of accounting problems. She was a graduate of Draughn School of Business and a member of Central Baptist Church of North Little Rock.
Melma is survived by her husband, Dennis Pruitt; stepson Craig Pruitt of Allen, Texas, stepdaughter Janis McAnally of Amity, Arkansas; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; nieces Linda Fulks Ray, Glenda Fulks McElhanon of Beebe, Freida Mash White and Sue Mash Starkey of Sherwood; nephews James Mash of Beebe, Max Fulks of Camden, and Allen Fulks of Ashdown, Arkansas; and seventeen great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband Joe Weir; one sister, Maxine Fulks; three brothers, Bernard Mash, Elvin Mash and James Rueben Mash.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Weir Cemetery.
