Danny Ross Fortner, age 64 of Mayflower, Arkansas died Wednesday, April 27, 2005. He was born in Conway, Arkansas on February 2, 1941 to the late Dolphus and Lilas Fulmer Fortner. He was preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers: Bud and Leslie Fortner. He was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Guy.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Patsy Belk Fortner; by his children: Mickey Fortner and his wife Charlene of Conway, Monty Fortner and his wife Sandra of Guy, Christie Coon of Conway, Danica Fortner of Mayflower and Toby Fortner and his wife Jessica of Mayflower; by fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, by four brothers: Wayne Fortner of North Little Rock, Ron Fortner of Conway, Donny Fortner of Bono, and Randy Fortner of Conway; and by his sister: Oneita Fowlkes of Vilonia.

Graveside funeral services will be Friday, 10:00 a.m., April 29th, at Beryl Cemetery in Vilonia with Bro. Ron Fortner officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home of Conway (501.327.7727). Pallbearers are: Mitchell Fortner, Curtis Baggett, Clint Baggett, Brandon Fortner, Patrick Rooney, Michael Wright, and Jason Keeler.
