Kenneth W. Lawrence, 73, of Mayflower, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014. He was born May 22, 1940 in Lollie, AR to the late John M. and Myrtle E. Polk Lawrence. Kenneth was also preceded in death by his son, Lee Lawrence, grandson, Kyle Lawrence, sister, Beatrice Holt, and his brother, Wendell Lawrence.

Kenneth was of the Church of Christ faith and a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed as a truck driver for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his four wheeler, and telling stories. Kenneth loved all animals, especially his dogs. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sherlene Lawrence, two sons, Anthony Lawrence (Kelly) and Paul Lawrence (Crickett) all of Mayflower, one brother Howard Lawrence (Reba) of North Little Rock, AR, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Mayflower Cemetery, with Bro. Terry Long officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Miller, James Johnson, Dustin Carr, Michael Shaw, William Hinchey, and Mitch Elliott. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Faulkner County, P.O. Box 1055, Conway, Arkansas.
