Kenneth Ray Thompson, 74, of Magnolia passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at Wentworth Place in Magnolia.
Kenneth was born on April 12, 1943, in Warren to Clyde and Pallie Marie (Oldner) Thompson. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and retired from Albemarle as a Lab Tech. He was an avid camper and fisherman and loved to “fix” things and work in his shop. The joys of his life were his grandchildren, Logan and Caylin.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Lois Taylor, Helen Mitchell, and Juanita Myers.
He Is survived by his wife of 55 years, Brenda Faye Thompson of Magnolia; son Bobby Ray Thompson of Magnolia; grandson Logan Bryant Thompson of Magnolia; granddaughter Caylin Marie Thompson of Conway; sisters-in-law Ann Broach of Hampton, Gail Silence of Hot Springs, Sarah Rich and husband David of Magnolia; brothers-in-law Don Newton and wife Leann of Hot Springs, Danny Newton of Magnolia, Sammy Newton and wife Reba of Maumelle; and a host of wonderful nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 23, at the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Brian Bohrer officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home in Magnolia.
Visitation will be held Friday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be David Dismukes, David Rich, Jim Bob Rich, Danny Bryan, Logan Thompson, and Ron Millican. Honorary pallbearers will be Freeman Hughes, Alan Boston, Sammy Newton, Don Newton, Jerrall Rudd, and Gary Amis.
The family requests memorial donations be sent to Immanuel Baptist Church, 1823 East North, Magnolia, Ark. 71753; CCAPS, P.O. Box 2003, Magnolia, Ark. 71753; or Southern Christian Mission, 515 West Monroe, Magnolia, Ark. 71753.
