When Eugene Weldon was born on September 19, 1928, in Rankin, Texas, his father, Thomas, was 30 and his mother, Lessie, was 29. He married Monnie Fay Davis on January 4, 1950, in Lovington, New Mexico. They had two children during their marriage. He died on December 25, 1995, in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 67, and was buried there.
