Miss Ollie Cook Died This Morning Following A Brief Illness; Funeral Friday
Miss Ollie Cook, age 52, died at her home this morning following a brief illness. A brief funeral service will be conducted at the First Baptist church in Stilwell 9:30 Friday morning for the benefit of Stilwell friends and a service will be conducted at Alma Baptist church in Alma, Ark., Friday at 2:30. Rev. J.M. Haygood, pastor of the Stilwell First Baptist church will conduct both services.
Burial will be in the Alma cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
Miss Cook was proprietress of the New York store here for the past several years. She was a member and active worker in the First Baptist church and a member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. J.J. Cook, who lived with her; 3 brothers, J.J. Cook of Stilwell, A.E. Cook of Oklahoma City, W.P. Cook of Arkedelphia, Ark.; three sisters, Mrs. Geo. McCarty, Mrs. C.R. Starbird, both of Alma, Ark., and Mrs. Perry Etheridge of Stilwell. Miss Cook formerly lived in Alma before coming to Stilwell 14 years ago.
