Wayne Dean Hoy, 64, of Noel, Mo., died Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Mo., after a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 12, 1954 in Kansas City, to William and Harriett (Linder) Hoy. He was raised in Parkville, Mo., and graduated Park Hill Senior High School in 1972. On June 18, 1977, he married Paula Killion and they lived in Noel since 1985. He was employed by Garney Construction Company for 25 years before owning Hoy Construction. He was a Christian.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Paula of the home; three children, Michelle Laber (Craig) of Independence, Mo., Jeremy Hoy (Misty) of Noel, and Wendy Collins (Bryan) of Noel; 12 grandchildren; and a brother, Bill Hoy (Teresa) of Chilhowee, Mo.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 23, 2018, in the Noel Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Brother Bob Holloway officiating. Burial followed in the Butler Creek Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Ark.
Memorials are being directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital c/o the funeral home.
