Richard Summers, 59, of Conway, passed away Friday, October 18, 2013, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on Saturday, February 6, 1954, in Russellville, Arkansas, to Roy and Polly Eubanks Summers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Breck Summers. He is survived by his son, Kent Summers and wife Alli; daughter, Sierra Summers; 4 grandchildren, Josie Mae Summers, Henry Kent Summers, Scarlett Elm Summers, and Hayes Vancura Henry; and special friends, Mike Patrick, Johnny Hooper, and Dot Bonner.Richard was an avid hunter, fisherman, and conservationist, who shared his loved of the outdoors with many. He was also a father figure to many – always providing comfort and guidance to those he loved. His convictions for what was right, and strength to stand by them will never be forgotten. He was a man of strong faith and integrity, who took any opportunity to spread God's word. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Conway, where the services will be held.
Johnny Hooper, John Hinds, Mike Patricks, Breck Summers, Jacob Summers, Donn Summers, and Kent Summers served as pallbearers.
