Gary Jack Gardner, 62, of Atkins, died Monday, August 6, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital.

He was born August 21, 1944, in Lake City, Arkansas; had a Bachelor Degree in Marketing and Sales; attended Atkins First Assembly of God Church and worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company for 30 years as a marketing and sales consultant working with international investors.

He was always a dedicated family man and his children and grandchild were most important in his life. He enjoyed sports and loved to golf. He and his brothers spent as much time as possible on the golf course and had many great adventures.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Gardner, and a brother, Larry Gardner.

He is survived by his mother, Agnes Gardner of Atkins; brother & sister-in-law, Phil and Joann Gardner of Irving, Texas; sister, Rosemary Gardner, of Lancaster, CA; 3 daughters, Tonya Gardner of North Aurora, IL and Rhonda Gardner, of St. Charles, IL; Fawnda Gardner of Sturgis, MI, 1 son, Josh Gardner of Oswego, IL and 1 grandchild, Ellery Grace Gardner.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, august 8, 2007, at Atkins First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Bill Caldwell officiating. Burial will be 3:00 PM Wednesday at Hopewell Cemetery in Cord, Arkansas by Lemley Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Najim Jamell, Kay Jamell, David Jamell, Charles Smith, and Jim Gardner.
