DAVIDSON, Nancy Elizabeth JOHNSON Covey - Nancy Elizabeth Johnson was born January 5th, 1859 in Alabama and died at her home in Gravette November 10th, 1921 at the age of 63 years. Early in life she became a Christian and united with the Baptist Church. At the age of 16 she was married to John G. Covey and to this union were born four children: Sadie and Alice, who both died in infancy and Lottie and Belle {Mrs. D.M. Edwards and Mrs. T.E.. Leonard). Several years after the death of Mr. Covey she was married to Newt Davidson and to this union two sons were born: Johnnie, who died at the age of four years and Willie, who with the two daughters and two step-children, Harley Davidson and Mrs. Vada Goodwin, survive her. Besides her children she leaves to mourn her loss three sisters and one brother, Mrs. E.C. Chase, Mrs. J.J. Quigley, Mrs. E.M. Gravett and W.P. Johnson, who all live in this community. She was a good and devoted mother and lived her whole life for her children. She was a patient sufferer and never murmured in her misery. To within three hours of her death she would not give up that she would not get well. The funeral was conducted at the residence Friday by Eld. R.M. Phillips and burial was in the Odd Fellows cemetery. The family has the sympathy of the community.
