Private graveside services for Grace Elizabeth Wiseman of Cotter were held Friday at Burnt Schoolhouse Cemetery at Lone Rock with Rev Sam Bailey officiating. Mrs. Wiseman died Thursday (Jan 8, 1998) at Cotter. She was 81.
An area native, Mrs. Wiseman was born Dec 17, 1916, at Cartney, a daughter of the late Herbert and Dessie McMahan Sease. A homemaker, she and Delter B. Wiseman were married Dec 9, 1939. Prior to moving to Cotter in 1969, Mrs. Wiseman had been a resident of Oklahome. She was a member to Twin Lakes Baptist Church, where she was active in Bible study and she was a Hospice of the Ozarks volunteer.
She is sirvived by her husband, Delter B. Wiseman of the home; two son, David Bruce Wiseman of Santa Cruz, CA and Michael Wiseman of Fayetteville; three daughters, Linda McIntosh of Cotter, Patricia Stuedemann of Athens, GA and Cindy Pierce of Cotter; two brother, David Sease of Soccord, NM and Victor Sease of Ojha, AZ; a sister Effie Porter of Cotter; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bill Sease.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
Arrangements wer by Kirby Funeral Home.
Kirby and Family and the US Forest Service have provided for the planting of a tree as a living memorial and tribute to Mrs. Wiseman.
