Obituary
Clarence Othel (Pappy) Jones, age 76 was called to Heaven on February 9, 2010. He was born December 29, 1933 in Mt. Pleasant, Arkansas to the late Jim and Nellie Jones. He was a hard working man and a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Batesville, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by two brothers Virell Jones and Virgial Moser.
Clarence is survived by his wife of 56 years Kathrine Jones of Batesville, Arkansas; three sons, Danny Wayne Jones and his wife, Kathy of Batesville, Arkansas, Larry Wayne Jones and his wife, Frances of Batesville, Arkansas, Charles Wayne Jones and his wife, Carol of Batesville, Arkansas; one daughter, Kathy Ann Mason of Mt. Pleasant, Arkansas; one sister, Lola Faye Hughes of Little Rock, Arkansas; seven grand Children, Misty Ann Pool and her husband, Lewis of Dolph, Arkansas, Brandi V. Jones of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Mikeal Lee Candler and his wife, Regina of Dexter, Missouri, Maisie Duncan and her husband, Heath of Batesville, Arkansas, Nancy Jones of Batesville, Arkansas, Coby Jones of Batesville, Arkansas and Tyler Jones of Batesville, Arkansas; eight great-grandchildren, Dalton, Braidon and Celina Candler both of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Bryson Duncan of Batesville, Arkansas, Timothy Walls of Dexter, Missouri, Travis Walls of Cord Charlotte, Arkansas, Kaylee and Jacie Pool both of Dolph, Arkansas.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M. Thursday, February 11, 2010 at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville, Arkansas. The Funeral service will be held at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel Friday, February 12, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Steve Gunther will be officiating.
The pallbearers are Wayne Baker, Jimmy Baker, Darrell Baker, Danny Mullins, Mikel Candler and Marbin Kirby. The Honorary Pallbearers are William Mullins and Tasker Huff.
Interment will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cushman, Arkansas.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorials be made at any Citizen Bank in Clarence Othel Jones name.
