Owens Chapel Cemetery Dedication Stone placed there in 1982 by an Owens descendant, LaMena Nichols Browning. "This plot deeded by James Marion Owens to the Presbyterian Church to be forever protected and used for the Glory of God 1885" There are many old unmarked graves in the cemetery. The Polk County Genealogical Society has an Inscription Book that lists some names for these unmarked graves.
