Thurman Odis Hamaker, Sr, age 68, of Hermitage, Arkansas died Thursday, August 7, at John R. Williamson Hospice House, El Dorado. He was born May 24, 1946 in Bradley County, Arkansas a son of the late Neal Hamaker and Nathan Langston Hamaker. He was a bricklayer and a member of Landmark Baptist Church. He received his education in the Hermitage Public School System. Surviving are 3 sons Gary Hamaker, Hermitage, Ark, Thurman Hamaker, Jr, Ingalls, Ark. and Robert Neal Hamaker, Winterset, Iowa; 3 daughters Ruth Douglass, Johnsville, Ark, Carrie Clopton and Tracey Hamaker both of Winterset, Iowa; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services were 2:00pm Sunday, August 10, at Landmark Baptist Church with Rev. David Inzer officiating. Judy Rankin was pianist. Burial was in Gravelridge Cemetery near Hermitage, Arkansas. Pallbearers were Jim Gardner, Carl Baker, Steve Temple, Frank Parker, Phil Thompson and David Dees.
