Steven Ross McFarland, age 33, of Jupiter, FL, formerly of Camden, AR, died Friday, March 16, at home. He was born October 8, 1984 in New Orleans, LA, a son of Jan Jackson McFarland who lovingly cared for him for eleven years in their home in Jupiter, FL, and the late Dr. Gale Allen McFarland. He received his education in the Camden Public School System and at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR. He served in the Arkansas National Guard from 2002 to 2008 and was in active combat in Baghdad, Iraq from 2004 to 2005 and was stationed in Fort Hood, TX, in the First Cavalry Division. He was a Presbyterian. Surviving other his mother are three brothers James Wesley, Travis Allen, and Auburn Jackson McFarland all of Jupiter, FL; his maternal grandmother Ann Jackson Maxwell, Jupiter, FL. Also, preceding him in death was his brother Justin Lehman McFarland, his paternal grandparents A J and Estelle McFarland and maternal grandfather Lehman Jackson. The family appreciates the care of Carol Woodbrey with Treasure Coast Hospice. The family also appreciates all the loving support shown from the hundreds of people who supported Steven including Vickie Ray, Jeanie, Eagle Angle’s, Michelle and Lu. Funeral services were 2:00 pm Friday, March 23, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial with Military Honors was in McFarland Cemetery at Banks by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Gary Green, Kendell Eudes, Wesley McFarland, Travis McFarland, Jackson McFarland, and Jason Green. A special thanks to the Army National Guard and the Patriot Riders. Memorials are suggested to Treasure Coast Hospice or a charity of your choice.
