When Norvin Irol Gosnell was born on March 17, 1925, in Conway, Arkansas, his father, James, was 24 and his mother, Willie, was 19. He married Willa Dean Moses on September 10, 1948. They had five children during their marriage. He died on November 10, 2008, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 83, and was buried in Center Ridge, Arkansas.
