FINCH — Lola Lesley, 73, of the Finch community in Greene County died Friday, June 12, 2009, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center at Paragould.
Born at Harrisburg, Lola lived much of her life in the Trumann-Jonesboro area before moving to Finch 20 years ago. She worked as a nurse's aide and care sitter for several years and operated a flea market in Finch.
Lola was a member of Landmark Worship Center in Trumann and enjoyed collecting dolls.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Joe Smith and James Lesley; four children, Donnie, Mary, Carolyn and infant son Lesley; four sisters, Lucille, Glenda, Luella and Betty; and a brother, Edward.
Survivors include four sons, George Smith of Jonesboro, James Lesley of Houston, Texas, David Lesley of San Diego and Ronnie Lesley of the home; two daughters, Margarett Jones of Paragould and Debra Gamboa of San Diego; two brothers, Johnny Barnes of Trumann and Jerry Barnes of Cave City; five sisters, Wanda Halsey, Francis Battles, Molly Rasdin, Kay Rogers, all of Trumann, and Sue Carter of Elkhart, Ind.; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Landmark Worship Center at Trumann with the Rev. Bill Nunally officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery south of Harrisburg with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
