Stephen Alexandra Pierce, 76, 106 W. Pecan St., died Friday morning in a local hospital following a brief illness. Born Jan. 30, 1894, in Amy, he was the son of Joe and Mary Fox Pierce. A resident of El Dorado for 50 years, Mr. Pierce was a retired employe of Rock Island Railroad. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ruby Dodson Pierce of El Dorado; three sons, Trancy C. Doson, Bonham, Tex., Travis T. Dodson, El Dorado, and Marvis W. Doson, Fort Worth, Tex.; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Young's Chapel with the Rev. Roy B. Hilton officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Young's. Pallbearers will be Marvin Doson, Joe Dodson, J. H. Mason, James Dodson, Donald E. Wright and Louis Freeman.
