Mrs. Henryetta Wood Laid to Rest
Henryetta Clinton Wood was born Jun 8, 1848 suddenly departed
this life at her home in East Calico Rock, May 10th., 1930. She was sick
only a few minutes, but her life was lived so that she was ready to go.
Mrs Wood became a Christian while quite young and joined the Baptist
church of which she was a true and faithful member for 62 years. Mrs
Wood was married to V. T. Wood in 1866, to this union was born nine
children five boys, three of them having passed on a number of years
ago, those living are J. H. Wood of Calico Rock and Truman Wood of
Newport, Ark. and four girls all living who are Mrs Naoma Jones, Mrs
Laura Jones of Calico Rock, Mrs Pheobe Franks of Larkin, Ark. and Mrs
Josie Boles of Durango, Colo. She was tenderly laid to rest by the side
of her husband V. T. Wood who has passed on only a little over a year
ago. Funeral service was conducted by Rev W. M. Cooper May 17, 1930 at 3
p.m. at Union. Interment was at Union Cemetery. Mrs Wood was a true and
loving wife and mother and to know her was to love her. She leaves to
mourn her loss two sons, four daughters and several grand and great
grandchildren and a host of friends. "The death Angel came and took your
mother away. But you will meet her again some day."
