NEOSHO — Orval "Fred" Little, 85, of Neosho, Mo., passed away at his home on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011.

Fred was born on May 25, 1926, in Kingston, Ark., a son of William Art Little and Eddie Morning Griggs Little. He married Floy Nadine Yingst on Nov. 22, 1946, in Huntsville, Ark.

Fred worked for the Heekin Can Co. as an inspector of quality control for 31 years. He loved to fish and hunt was a coin collector, farmed and raised cattle. Fred was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Nadine Little of the home; one daughter, Teresa Joan Fink and husband, Jimmy, of Gravette, Ark.; one son, Timmy Fred Little of Goshen, Ark.; one sister, Irene Arms of Southwest City, Mo.; three grandchildren, Lance Fink, Chance Fink and Race Little; one great-granddaughter, Addilyn Fink; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Fred was preceded in death by two brothers, Lavoyd and Doyle Little; and one sister, Imogene McCarley.

Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Springdale, Ark., on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Larry Mitchell will officiate the service with burial to follow at the Friendship Cemetery under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.
