SPRINGDALE — Matthew Stephen Wells, 42, of Springdale died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at his home.

He is survived by his wife, Shana (Foskitt) Wells, and their two children, of the home; his mother, Linda Folsom Wells of Fort Smith; his father, Dr. John Dalie Wells and wife, Dina, of Centerton; two sisters, Kim Wohlford and husband, Charles, of Fort Smith, Karen Tlapek and husband, Chuck, of Little Rock; one brother, Dr. Robert Wells and wife, Meredith, of Rogers.

He is also survived by his special nieces and nephews, Sarah Wohlford, John Wohlford and wife, Addy, Rachel Wohlford, Jack Tlapek, Elizabeth Tlapek, Emma Tlapek, Sophia Wells and Duke Wells.

He was born March 3, 1972, in Little Rock, and attended school in Fort Smith, graduating from Southside High School. He was employed by the Neighborhood Market in Springdale.

Matthew never met a stranger and never hesitated to help anyone in need. He was an avid Razorback fan, and loved to spend time at the beach with his family in Destin, Fla.

He also leaves behind a wonderful church family at Fellowship Bible Church where he taught in the children's Sunday school. His sweetness and kid-at-heart spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial celebration of Matthew's life will be held Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Fellowship Bible Church, 1051 W. Pleasant Grove Road, Rogers, Ark.

Burial services will be private.

Arrangements are with Heritage Funeral Home.
