SPRINGDALE — Talmadge Melvin Bartlett, 74, of Springdale died Feb. 5, 2008. He was born May 20, 1933, in Cullman, Ala., to Edgar Forrest and Theola Elizabeth Hood Bartlett.
He was a operating engineer. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tamara Nichole Bartlett.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Bartlett of Springdale; three sons, Phillip Bartlett of Greenback, Tenn., Talmadge Melvin Bartlett Jr. of Springdale, Robin Bartlett of Huntsville; three daughters, Alice Marks of Springdale, Jane Hall of Myrtle, Miss., Brenda Hardin of Prairie Grove; three brothers, Robert Bartlett of Summers, Oscar Bartlett of Ravenden, Edgar Bartlett Jr. of Cullman, Ala.; six sisters, Lorean Mahan of Streator, Ill., Eula Stewart of Sheridan, Ill., Edith Hailey of Truman, and Yvonne Michellson, Linda LaFan and Sue Pettit of Pocahontas; 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Astounding Grace Church in Hindsville with Butch Bolinger officiating.
Arrangements are by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale.

PRAIRIE GROVE — Barbara Ellen Bartlett, 77, of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed away Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, at her residence. She was born on Oct. 11, 1938, in Fortville, Ind., a daughter of Robert Edward Lewis and Alice Cora Lewis. Barbara was a proud homemaker and retired from Campbell's soup.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Talmadge Melvin Bartlett, Sr.; one son, Robin Lee Bartlett; one granddaughter, Tamara Nichole Bartlett; and one great-great-granddaughter. Barbara is survived by two sons, Phill Bartlett of Greenback, Tenn., and Talmadge Melvin Bartlett, Jr. and wife Kathy of Springdale, Ark.; three daughters, Alice Marks of Illinois, Jane Ann Hall and husband Jim of Myrtle, Miss., and Brenda Hardin and husband Jimmy of Prairie Grove, Ark.; one brother, Dick Lewis and wife JoAnn of Dixon, Ill.; two sisters, Betty Cannon and husband Curt of PawPaw, Ill., and Martha Miller and husband Les of Rochelle, Ill.; 22 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale, Ark., on Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, at 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Graveside service will be at the Sonora Cemetery Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, at 2 p.m. To sign the online guest book, visit www.Backstrom-Pyeatte.com.
