Don Wayne Adams, 62, of Sherwood passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013. He was born October 14, 1950, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, to the late James Buiel Adams and Mary Charlene Dilday Adams.
He was a Vietnam Air Force Veteran, Certified Public Accountant for the IRS, former owner of his own CPA practice, and a member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Sherwood.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Jannie (McGlothlin) Adams; brother, Ricky Adams (Telesha) of Heber Springs; and sister, Loretta Solida (Jimmy) of Heber Springs; sister-in-laws, Mary Maddox, Juanita Chism (Bernard) and Essie May (Glen) of Houston; brother-in-law, William McGlothlin (Pat) of Marked Tree; ten nieces, Angie Copus (Billy) of Searcy; Janet Cresswell (Scott), and Brandi Wilson (Zeke) of Heber Springs; Joyce Crabb of Rockford, IL; Mariless Strandlund and Sandra Adams (Bruce) of Perryville; Rhonda Rankin (Jimmy), Rebecca Fraizer (James), and Teresa Prince of Houston; Karen Gonzalez (Fernando) of College Station, TX; four nephews, Rusty Adams of Heber Springs; Rodney Harris (Debbie) of Tyronza; Carroll Chism (Kelley) of Morrilton; Bill McGlothlin (Tina) of Germany; and numerous great nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends that he loved dearly. He also leaves two poodles that he loved very much.
Don is preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Lovean Harris, brother-in-law, J. C. Maddox and, two nephews, Denard Chism and James Maddox.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel in North Little Rock, with Bro. Tom Hart officiating.
Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675, Victory Missionary Baptist Church, 515 Sherwood Avenue, Sherwood, AR 72120 or charity of your choice.
