LEE H. EVANS, Jr. of North Little Rock passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012. He was born on Aug 26, 1925, to the late Lee H. Evans and Selma Caroline Hanson. He graduated from Little Rock High School in 1943, and joined the U.S. Navy later that year as a Seabee. During World War II he served in the Phillippines and China doing construction work.

Lee returned to Little Rock after the war, and he began to work for Southwestern Bell in 1947 as an installer and later as an engineer. After retiring from the phone company in 1983, Lee pursued a second career as a real estate agent and broker. He retired from the real estate profession in late 2011.

Lee and his wife of 60 years, Geraldine Rettig Evans, were devoted members of Park Hill Baptist Church in North Little Rock. Lee is survived by Geraldine, son Ron Evans (Debbie), a daughter, Kathy Shoemaker, eight grand-children, and eight great-grand-children.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wed at North Little Rock Funeral Home Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m.Mon at Ark State Veterans Cemetery.
