John David Wiggins (Chief Master Sergeant, United States Air Force, retired, and United States Postal letter carrier in Little Rock, retired), 86, of Russellville, died Sunday, December 13, 2015, at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home. He was born March 29, 1929, in Fort Benning, Georgia, to Eugene Grant and Lona Melviney Gulley Wiggins. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the Cold War, and was a servant of the United States government spanning 49 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Patricia Anne Wiggins; a son and daughter-in-law, John David Jr. and Marjorie Wiggins of Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patty and Danny Horton of Galena, Missouri, and Mary and William Hoyt of Russellville; two sisters, Edith Meynig of California, and Reta Bianculli of New Jersey; six grandchildren, Joseph Wiggins of California, Sonia Wiggins of Massachusetts, Michael Wilkinson of Sherwood, John Wilkinson and his wife, Olivia, of New York, Andrew Hoyt of St. Louis, Missouri, and Adrianne McNeely and her husband, Billy, of Russellville; five great-grandchildren, Stephanie Dehart and her husband, Scott, of Warren, Arkansas, Savannah Wilkinson of Heber Springs, Vaughn McNeely and Stevie McNeely, both of Russellville, and Odin Wilkinson of New York; and two great-great-grandchildren, Jacob Puckett and Sophia Dehart, both of Warren.

The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at St. John's Catholic Church Chapel, officiated by Fr. Mauricio Carrasco. Burial with military honors will be on Thursday, at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Arrangements are by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
